Synopsis
Jean and Otto, a French press man and a young German Francophile, fight for peace in Europe. Jean's daughter, Corinne, begins a brilliant career as a film actress. But war breaks out and France is occupied. The two friends play a major role in this new France. Jean achieves the stature of a major press magnate, an ardent promoter of collaboration with the occupier; Otto becomes the Reich's ambassador to Paris. Corinne finds herself thrown into the lion's den...
